Project Overview
This custom-built vacuum gripping system is designed for the safe manipulation of lightweight components such as screens, mirrors, or similar fragile parts, with a maximum weight of 800 g.
The equipment is engineered for continuous industrial operation (24/7, three shifts) and optimized for use in automotive production environments.
Application Domain
-
Automotive production lines
-
Manual and semi-automated assembly stations
-
Handling of fragile components with smooth surfaces
-
Applications requiring repeatability, precision, and ergonomic safety
Application Scope
-
Handling of fragile components (screens, mirrors, similar parts)
-
Manual and semi-automated assembly stations
-
Optional integration into automated cells or robotic stations
-
Applications requiring ergonomic and controlled manipulation
Technical Solution
Compact electro-pneumatic system including:
-
24V DC power supply (240V AC input)
-
Pneumatic vacuum generator with solenoid control
-
Industrial pneumatic circuit with protected hoses
-
Ergonomic handle with suction cup
-
Control button with visual status indication
Designed for continuous industrial use with stable vacuum generation and controlled release.
Operating Principle
The operator positions the suction cup on the component and activates the control button.
Vacuum is generated for secure gripping.
Releasing the button cancels the vacuum and safely releases the part.
